A detention area, or security area, was a location where prisoners were kept. The level of security in detention areas varied depending on their status; the lockups in Mos Eisley featured metal bars and mechanical locks, while the detention areas aboard the first Death Star featured sophisticated security systems including automated laser traps and security scanners.[1]
The detention area of Otoh Gunga was a lower bubble.
The detention area of the first Death Star was the location of Detention Block AA-23.
The detention area of Crimson Jack's battlecruiser was the retention block.
