Dembaline was a type of pearl-like gemstone that was produced by sea creatures on[1] the waterworld Dac in the Outer Rim Territories' Calamari sector.[2] The gemstone's name eventually became a name used among female members of[1] Dac's native Mon Calamari species,[2] with Mon Calamari composer Dembaline[3]—who was active by 22 BBY[4]—being one such individual to share that name.[3]
Behind the scenes
Dembaline was mentioned in Peter Schweighofer and J.D. Wiker's 2003 Wizards of the Coast Star Wars Roleplaying Game sourcebook Galactic Campaign Guide.[1]
