- "Don't underestimate melee weapons in the hands of an expert like X2. Take this, little brother, and swing away!"
- ―X1, before X2 and Delta 3730 begin sparring
Delta 3730[2] was a male[1] clone trooper who served in the Grand Army of the Republic during the Clone Wars against the Confederacy of Independent Systems.[2] They were created on the planet Kamino and cloned from the genetic template of bounty hunter Jango Fett. Like all clones of Fett, Delta 3730 was 1.83 meters tall and had tan skin.[1] Delta 3730 wore clone trooper armor adorned with colored markings and served in a battalion under the command of Jedi General Ferroda. While stationed on the planet Tatooine, Delta 3730 participated in melee combat practice with X2 as part of a training exercise presented to the new batch of clones in the battalion. The two sparred with electrostaffs and X2 was able to knock out Delta 3730, finishing the fight.[2]
Behind the scenes
One of Delta 3730's possible appearances.
Delta 3730 appeared in the PlayStation Portable version of Star Wars Battlefront: Elite Squadron. Their armor type is randomized and can be either clone pilot armor, AT-RT driver armor, or Phase II clone trooper armor. The color of the armor's markings are also randomized, and can be either yellow, blue, or dark red. This article does not assume any specific armor type or color to be the correct one.[2]
Within Elite Squadron, the name "Delta 3730" can also be randomly assigned to computer-controlled clone troopers in the various game modes. However, within the game's story-driven campaign mode, the name is always assigned to the clone on Tatooine. As it is the only time the name is seen throughout the entire story, it gives Delta 3730 a consistent and clear history within the Star Wars Legends continuity, even if the trooper's armor is randomized.[2]
