The Death Merchant was a GR-75 medium transport owned by the scavenger Arns Grimraker. Grimraker ran a large salvage operation out of the Death Merchant, which allowed him to move quickly and quietly between battlefields to claim the choicest finds before the competition.[1] Grimraker lost the Death Merchant while scavenging after the Battle of Hoth in 3 ABY—Rebel pilot Wedge Antilles, who had been left behind on Hoth in the chaos of the evacuation, stole the craft out from under Grimraker's nose to escape the planet. Damaged in the ensuing chase, the Death Merchant and Antilles were later picked up by an Alliance crew.[2]
