A dead blow hammer was a type of gray durasteel hammer with one face larger than the other. The starship mechanic Viano Thag used a dead blow hammer[1] while working on devices just inside the city gate[2] of Point Ueda on the planet Ueda[1] in 132 BBY[3] during the High Republic Era.[1]
Behind the scenes
A dead blow hammer first appeared in "Lost / Found,"[2] the first episode of the live-action television series Star Wars: The Acolyte, which aired on Disney+ on June 4, 2024.[4] It was then identified in the 2025 reference book Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, which was written by Pablo Hidalgo.[1]
