Behind the scenes

The planet of Dashaad was initially planned to appear in Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic 3, a game set in the Old Republic era with John Stafford as the lead designer of the game as well as Molly Denmark and Cory Allemeier as two of the artists. The planet was created specifically for the game. Concept art for the game shows a ship resembling the Sith fighter known as the Dashaad fighter. The game was scheduled for production, LucasArts hit a difficult period in its history which culminated in the game's cancelation. This would go unpublicized for four years, until a reference book entitled Rogue Leaders: The Story of LucasArts by Rob Smith was released. The book officially announced the game was both conceived and scratched. As the game was canceled, the planet of Dashaad is not considered to be a part of any official continuity.[1]
