Darren Rakal was a sergeant in the Republic Army who served on Oricon during the Dread War. Falling under the mental influence of the Dread Masters, Rakal was forced to serve them, and though the sergeant was eventually freed from their influence, Rakal was scarred by the experience. Rakal initially considered leaving the military, but chose to remain in the army in order to make up for the events on Oricon.[1]
Behind the scenes
Should the player choose the light side option and inspire the republic troops, Darren Rakal will instead inform the player character of their defection to the Empire, having joined the Imperial Army after having felt safe for the first time.[2]
