Daronak was a terrestrial planet[3] located in the Daronak system, a part of the Phelleem sector[1] in the Slice portion of[2] the Outer Rim Territories.[1] It was the site of Channoga Boulevard.[3]

At one point during the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, a team of Alliance agents were making contact with a Rebel cell on Daronak. However, an individual they had dealt with was in reality an informer who reported them to the Empire, leading to Imperial stormtroopers pursuing the agents who in turn ran down Channoga Boulevard. Eventually, several bounty hunters employing thermal detonators also engaged the team, which ultimately made its way off-planet.[3]

Behind the scenes

Daronak was mentioned in "Scorched Earth," a roleplaying adventure written by Liz Holliday and published in the 1997 fourteenth issue of the Valkyrie magazine for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. Since that article was released outside of the Lucas Licensing process,[3] it was considered non-canonical with respect to the Star Wars Legends continuity.[4] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Daronak system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square S-7.[2]
