"Senators Char Bibbeck (Colunda Prime) and Jonas Wallen (Darlon) refused comment after aides in each of their offices brought to light a 'friendly game of numbers' between the two sector representatives."
―HoloNet News report[3]

Darlon was a celestial body[3] located in the Darlon system of the Mid Rim's Eucer sector.[1] Senator Jonas Wallen, who represented a sector in the Galactic Republic's Senate, hailed from Darlon.[3]

For a year leading up to the date 13:4:11, Wallen and their fellow Senator Char Bibbeck from[3] the Outer Rim Territories[4] astronomical object Colunda Prime engaged in betting on the likelihood of specific planets to either secede from the Republic or remain a part of that government. The gambling was eventually revealed to the public, and on 13:4:11 it was reported in an issue of the CoCo District Edition of the HoloNet News.[3]

Behind the scenes

Darlon was introduced in HoloNet News Vol. 531 #51, a representation of an in-universe issue of the HoloNet News[3] written by Pablo Hidalgo and Paul Ens[5] and published on the HoloNet News website on April 11, 2002.[6] The 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Darlon system, and therefore the celestial body itself, in grid square R-7.[2]
