The planet Dantooine, which shared its name with "Dantooine: stone."
"Dantooine: stone" was a painting created by the Human Jedi Master and painter Val Isa, who perished during the Mandalorian Wars[1] of 3976 BBY–3960 BBY. It shared its title with the terrestrial planet Dantooine of the Outer Rim Territories' Raioballo sector.[2]
"Dantooine: stone," "Bespin: air," "Koler: fire," and "Mon Calamari: water" were the only works by Isa whose titles were mentioned in the records of the Archive of Phelar University on the planet Eriadu[1] of the Outer Rim's Seswenna sector[2] by the time of the Galactic Civil War between the Galactic Empire and the Rebel Alliance, although no images of the paintings were included.[1]
At one point during that conflict, a group of Force-sensitive individuals researching Isa in the Archive discovered the record mentioning her paintings, including "Dantooine: stone."[1]
Behind the scenes
"Dantooine: stone" was mentioned in "Lessons from the Past," a roleplaying adventure included in the 2015 Core Rulebook for Fantasy Flight Games' Star Wars: Force and Destiny roleplaying game system. In the adventure, the player characters can optionally discover information mentioning the painting. This article assumes the scenario plays out as described.[1]
