- "You're wasting your time, Morka. No one's coming."
"You don't know that, Dacna. Not for sure."
"Of course I do. The gasheads won't stop until we're dead as a Dacdanite. We're on our own out here!" - ―Dacna and Morka
Dacna (right) told Morka (left) the Nihil would not stop attacking their ship until they were dead as a Dacdanite.
A Dacdanite was an entity associated with death that was known to the alien Dacna.[1] In 228 BBY,[2] during the High Republic Era, Dacna and their companion Morka were traveling aboard their cargo ship Marshskimmer when it was attacked by a pair of Nihil marauder cloudships.[1]
As Morka attempted to call for help, Dacna told them they were wasting their time as no one would arrive to help them, to which Morka stated that Dacna did not know that for sure. In response, Dacna noted they did know and added that the Nihil would not stop until they were "dead as a Dacdanite." Before the Nihil could kill them, however, the two were saved by the arrival of Jedi Masters Sskeer and Keeve Trennis, with Sskeer destroying one of the Nihil cloudships and the other fleeing into hyperspace.[1]
