The DL87 armor enhancement, also known as the "frostback", was a model of heating system available during the Galactic Civil War between the Alliance to Restore the Republic and the Galactic Empire following the Battle of Yavin. Built by Atlas Corp it sold for 1000 credits and kept its wearer protected from low temperatures using insulation and heating elements. It could be installed into any suit of armor that covered the entire body and was sealable.[1]

The DL87 armor enhancement was first mentioned in the Star Wars: Edge of the Empire Core Rulebook released by Fantasy Flight Games in 2013. The same information was also included in the Star Wars: Age of Rebellion Core Rulebook released the following year by Fantasy Flight Games.
