D9-28 was an astromech droid sent to the planet Ilum as part of a survey team to investigate the wreckage of Darth Malgus's space station during the Third Galactic War[2] around 3623 BBY.[1] D9-28 was destroyed during the mission, but its log records remained intact. Later, the Alliance Commander and Lana Beniko reviewed the log records and played a recording from just before the droid's destruction.[2]
