A D4 wrist comlink was a type of wrist comm used for encrypted communication. The thief Kay Vess wore a D4 wrist comlink which she used[1] in 3 ABY.[2]

D4 wrist comlinks first appeared in the 2024 video game Star Wars Outlaws, which was developed by Massive Entertainment and published by Ubisoft.[3] They were first pictured in the game's "World Premiere Trailer" which was released in 2023.[4] It was first identified as a D4 wrist comlink in the Star Wars Outlaws: A Visual Journey reference art book released as part of the Ultimate Edition of the game.[1] Concept art for the comlinks were was done by the Concept Artist Kamil Haddad under Lead Concept Artist Marthe Jonkers and Art Director Benedikt Podlesnigg. The wrist comm model for Star Wars Outlaws was made by Jakub Mrówczyński.[5]
