The Csaplar spaceport was the primary spaceport of Csaplar, capital of the Chiss Ascendancy and the Unknown Regions planet Csilla. It was located on the southwest edge of the city, and tunnel cars could be used to leave the spaceport. A number of hotels and restaurants could be found in the area around Csaplar spaceport.[1] Before 19 BBY,[2] the Chiss officers Mitth'raw'nuruodo, core name "Thrawn," and Irizi'ar'alani, core name "Ziara," landed at the spaceport when they traveled to the Irizi family homestead.[1]
Behind the scenes
The Csaplar spaceport appeared in the 2020 novel Thrawn Ascendancy: Chaos Rising, the first installment of Timothy Zahn's Star Wars: The Ascendancy Trilogy.[1]
