Crystalboy was a past employer of Boba Fett and one of several galactic big shots who owed Fett favors. Fett enlisted Crystalboy as a middleman when the bounty hunter used dummy corporations, fake identification, and forged requisition forms to repurchase the impounded Slave I as part of a "surplus liquidation" deal of assets from the Rebel Alliance's storage base on Grakouine.[1]
