The Crystal Chaos of Cardovyte[1] was a massive cavern-like structure that contained many crystalline stalagmites. Light from a bright star reached the cavern and reflected from the crystals.[2] It had long gained legendary status and was even included in several holo adventures.[3] In 35 ABY,[4] the Resistance pilot Poe Dameron flew the YT-1300 light freighter known as the Millennium Falcon through the Crystal Chaos after hyperspace skipping from the Sinta Glacier.[1]
Several First Order TIE/wi Interceptors jumped as well and pursued the freighter, but several crashed into the stalagmites and were destroyed. Dameron managed to pilot through the cavern while avoiding a collision and then jumped again[2] to the Mirror-Spires of Ivexia.[1]
