"Naturally, as the Crown Prince of Hapuntep, it breaks my heart to have to part with the royal diadem, but my people badly need medical supplies, and you, kind sir, are our last hope."
―A con artist[1]

The Crown Prince of Hapuntep was a monarchical title[1] that shared its name with the Hapuntep system of the Mid Rim's Ado sector.[2] At one point during the Galactic Civil War, a Human con artist presented themself to a person as the Crown Prince of Hapuntep, who purportedly possessed a royal diadem associated with their title. The con artist stated that the people they supposedly represented were in critical need of medical supplies and that therefore—although they claimed it caused them great sorrow—they were willing to part with their headdress so that the person they were addressing would help them out.[1]

Behind the scenes

The title of the Crown Prince of Hapuntep was mentioned in the 1995 sourcebook Heroes & Rogues, authored by Rick Stuart and Paul Sudlow and published for use with West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game.[1]
