The crimson jelly spire were a species of plant that originated from an unidentified planet. It was able to withstand extreme cold and heat as well as punishing winds thanks to it's gelatinous exterior and durable core stem. They became an oddity for collectors which spread the crimson jelly spire across the Outer Rim Territories. It grew on the planet Koboh where it could be found in colors like Nabooan Green, Felucian Yellow, Alderaanian Blue, and Dathomirian Red.[1]

Human Jedi Knight Cal Kestis acquired and planted several crimson jelly spire seeds in the garden at Pyloon's Saloon in the Rambler's Reach Outpost.[1]
