The Council of Galactic Rights was a committee in the Imperial Senate that existed on Coruscant during the reign of Galactic Empire. Leia Organa, the senator from Alderaan, addressed the council shortly before the Battle of Yavin condemning Emperor Palpatine humanocentrism and slavery policies.
