Cosa Simo was a female Umbaran married to the Umbaran archivist Asala Suro. While tracing the lineage of her ancestors with the help of Suro, Simo discovered a familial line dating back more than three millennia before[1] 132 BBY. In that year,[2] Simo—accompanied by Suro—visited Olega City on Olega, the planet to which she traced the line, in hopes of being allowed access to ancient records stored in the local temple of the Jedi Order.[1] Soon after Jedi Master Torbin from the local temple was murdered, Simo and Suro were in one of the city's streets standing near the wall of a building.[3] Her eyes were brown and—during her visit of Olega City—Simo wore a travel shadowcloak and bundled clothing to protect her light-sensitive white skin.[1]
Behind the scenes
Cosa Simo first appeared, albeit unidentified, in "Revenge / Justice,"[3] the second episode of the live-action Disney+ series The Acolyte, which aired on June 4, 2024.[4] The individual was later identified as Cosa Simo in Star Wars: The Acolyte: The Visual Guide, a reference book written by Pablo Hidalgo and published in 2025.[1] The Olega scenes[5] featuring Simo[3] were shot at Shinfield Studios,[5] England.[6]
