The Coruscant Defense Forces were the military forces tasked with defending the galactic capital Coruscant during the reign of the Galactic Empire. It consisted of various troops, vehicles and starfighters such as stormtroopers, anti-air troopers, dewback troopers, dark troopers, Viper probe droids, AT-ST walkers, AT-AA walkers, AT-AT walkers, mobile artillery, TIE Advanced x1s, and TIE/D Defenders. During the Galactic Civil War, the Coruscant Defense Forces were led by General Tal Ashen who personally commanded the Elite Force, the unit defending the Imperial Palace.[1] In 7 ABY,[2] the Coruscant Defense Forces were defeated by the New Republic during the Liberation of Coruscant.[1]
