The Corubalni Hoard was a fabled treasure hoard that shared its name with the Republic scout Arhul Corubalni, who first discovered the planet Vandor where the Corubalni Spaceport[1] and Corubalni Pass were located.[2] The big game hunter Iothene Jacontro searched for on the planet Vandor. During his hunt, Jacontro released wampas into the Vandor outback as trophies for others hunters and then visited the Lodge at Fort Ypso with his gang for the first time. While staying overnight at the Lodge, the gang got into a fight with the Valarine School of Selkath pirates and in the morning, Jacontro woke to find half his men dead and the other half arrested.[1]
Needing a new crew, the hunter hired a large number of the world's deadbeats, swindlers, liars, and thieves before setting out to search for the hoard, ignoring warnings from the Lodge's bartender, Tivoche Bilure, that the hoard did not exist. The group failed to find the hoard and Jacontro gave up on treasure hunting and returned to the Lodge after his arm froze solid and he lost his whole gang. He later became obsessed with tracking down a vastadon he believed lived on the world and Bilure wrote about both obsessions in a book he wrote about his time working at the Lodge.[1]
