Corruption Node

A Corruption Node was a source of corruption, a virus that plagued the Observatory, found within the HoloSimulator connected to the Observatory. Destroying one would cleanse the nearby corruption, helping limit the virus' spread.^[1]

Behind the scenes

Corruption Nodes first appeared and were identified in the mobile game LEGO Star Wars: Castaways,^[1] released on November 19, 2021. Prior to the game's release, they were first pictured in the game's article^[2] and the news post reveal article of the game,^[3] both posted on StarWars.com on October 19 of that year.^[2][3]
