- "Slaves? Here on Corellia?"
"Yea, can you believe that? While I was there I saw for myself. It's quite an operation they have going. I think one of the reasons they can get away with this is nobody expects it here on Corellia. It's not like this is one of the rim worlds." - ―A spacer and Kyran Silene
The Corellian slavers were a group of slavers who operated on Corellia during the Galactic Civil War.
History
- "It's just the tip of the asteroid. There is something big going on here."
- ―Bandor Mokk, to a spacer
The Corellian slavers started their operation by the time of the Battle of Yavin. They were particularly active all over the city of Tyrena and their base was located just northwest of the city. They captured random people on Corellia and enslaved them in their bunker. Faye Patrick was one of the criminals who captured the future slaves.[2] Dozens and dozens of persons were captured by the slavers,[1] including Kyran Silene,[2] Noro Bok and Akkus Meik,[1] Anyza Ekull,[3] Gordo Zek, Zorgom, Norith and Neeka Z'all,[4] Bannoc G'noc and Narlissa,[5] Vermon Skeetz, Dulor Norr and Akers Radch.[6] The slavers were responsible for a 500% increase in the number of missing persons on Corellia in one month. Major Alana Walden of the Corellian Security Force therefore went to investigate the case.[7]
In 1 ABY,[8] a group of slaves that included Anyza Ekull,[3] Zorgom and Norith Z'all,[4] Bannoc G'noc,[5] and Vermon Skeetz,[6] and led by Kyran Silene managed to escape the slaver bunker.[1] They did not reach Tyrena and were forced to establish a camp in the wilderness.[2]
In the meantime, Kyran Silene's wife, Madison Silene, recruited a spacer to investigate the disappearance of her husband. After killing Faye Patrick, the spacer managed to find the camp and the escaped slaves.[2] The spacer agreed to help the former slaves and moved to the Corellian Slaver Bunker. The spacer fought several guards but successfully infiltrated the bunker. With the help of several slaves, the spacer managed to access the depth of the bunker,[1] and even killed the slavemaster.[3] The spacer finally sliced the bunker's main computer. Using the bunker's own communications array, the spacer broadcasted the slavers' records on the CorSec emergency request channels.[1] Dozens of CorSec agents quickly moved to the slaver bunker and freed all the slaves.[9]

- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
