Corellian bloodhounds were slim, agile canids averaging up to a meter in length. Their bodies were covered in a fine coat of quills and possessed enlarged snouts to aid in smelling for prey, while their teeth were shaped like daggers. The hounds' bark had a whisper–like quality, though the hounds rarely vocalized; this behavioral instinct lent itself to the animals' reliance on stealth and speed when ambushing prey.[1]
These animals often served as guards or pets, though could be found in the wild if transplanted there. Three such bloodhounds patrolled inside the fenced perimeter of the Ambrae Environmental motor pool, found in the Industrial District of the Worlport trading outpost on the planet Ord Mantell.[1]
