Cooling compressors were a type of cooling technology used on weapons such as the AG-2G quad laser cannons. They were used to prevent the weapon from overheating during use. The AG-2Gs on the Millennium Falcon were fitted with enhanced cooling compressors and cooling packs for prolonged use during combat.[1]
