Contraband Trade Ports were structures utilized by both the Galactic Empire and Alliance to Restore the Republic in association with the Hutt Clan during the Galactic Civil War. They operated as spaceports where Hutt Clan-affiliated smugglers flying small freighters such as the Corellian G9 Rigger-class light freighter could dock and deliver contraband. This contraband would then be uploaded by the port's staff, which usually included at least one Weequay, and would subsequently be transferred to a Contraband Safehouse for storage.[1]
