The Commercial District was a region of Galactic City on the planet Coruscant that contained towering buildings.[1] Around 232 BBY,[2] the thief Nittel Karkson made for the buildings of the Commercial District in an attempt to escape after he was spotted pickpocketing on Republic Avenue by Jedi Master Stellan Gios. Karkson slipped down an alleyway between Coruscant's oldest tailor and a luxury airspeeder showroom before entering a hatch into the lower levels of the city.[1]

The Commercial District appeared in "A Coruscant Solstice," a short story written by Cavan Scott and published in the 2021 Life Day Treasury anthology.[1]
