Although this article is based on official information from the Star Wars Legends continuity, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

A dwarf star was artificially collapsed by Doctor Arakkus of the Galactic Empire in 0 ABY. He achieved this by utilizing a negatron impact charge on the dwarf star. When the star began to collapse, its behavior become similar to that of a black hole, sucking in all surrounding space.
