Clone trooper grenadiers were clone troopers developed to offer concentrated firepower to the Grand Army of the Republic using grenades.[1] Another favored weapon of the grenadiers were grenade launchers.[2] In typical patrols, the ratio of regular clone troopers to clone trooper grenadiers was roughly three to one.[1] Once deployed clone grenadiers would devastate close combat battles. They often used thermal detonators to destroy vehicles and enemy outposts.[3]
Variations
- Thermal Detonator Trooper: These troopers used mortars to shoot thermal detonators. They fought alongside General Echuu Shen-Jon during the Decimator campaign.[3]
- 'Clone jet trooper: These aerial clone troopers were known to often use EMP grenade launchers.[2]
