Clearplas was a transparent material.[1] An interface console in the computer core room of the New Jedi Temple on the planet Coruscant contained clearplas. In 45 ABY, during an assault on the New Jedi Temple, the Barabel Jedi Master Saba Sebatyne was thrown against an interface console in the computer core room by the Force entity Abeloth, resulting in the shattering of the console's clearplas components.[2] Vats in a laboratory at the space station Base Prime in the Chiloon Rift used for growing biots were fitted with clearplas fronts.[1]
Behind the scenes
Clearplas first appeared in the 2012 Star Wars Legends novel Fate of the Jedi: Apocalypse, which was written by Troy Denning and served as the final instalment of the Star Wars: Fate of the Jedi book series.[2] Clearplas was subsequently referenced in the 2013 novel Crucible, also by Denning.[1]
