Clan Kaja was founded by a captured Mandalorian prisoner named Kaja Honn. Framed for stealing Imperial supplies, her captors carefully decided to send her to a facility on Ziost than risking conflict with their Alliance with the Mandalorian clans.[1]
However, Honn organized and trained other unjustly held prisoners within the secret facility and fought the Guards to their freedom, calling themselves Clan Kaja. However, Kaja Honn died in the escape but her sacrifice made her an important figure within Mandalorian history and Clan Kaja kept her broken shackle in reminder of their struggles. They went to obtain full clan status amongst the Mandalorians some years after their escape from Ziost.[1]
