- "I'm going to be the best accountant the galaxy has ever seen."
- ―Civius Bain, to a spacer
Civius Bain was a male Rodian ryll smuggler who lived on Corellia during the time of the Galactic Civil War. He was the son of Olivia Bain.
Biography
- "You mother thinks you need to be convinced to stop smuggling."
"I don't need to be convinced. I need to be freed. I owe two of the smugglers money. Until I'm free from that debt, I can't leave." - ―A spacer and Civius Bain
Civius Bain resided on Corellia with his mother Olivia Bain and his fater, an accountant. After the Battle of Yavin, the young man got indebted to the spice smugglers Jaryn Minoze and Oret Sturm, two members of the ryll smuggling ring of the Chirq Council in Kor Vella. Civius Bain was forced to work for the smugglers in the Ryll Smuggler Base where they refined their ryll. His mother was desperate and wished for him to leave the smuggling ring and come home.[1]

In 1 ABY,[2] Olivia Bain met a spacer in the Vella plains and begged to rescue her son. The spacer accepted and headed to the Ryll Smuggler Base. The spacer found Civius Bain in the bunker but the young man explained that he could not leave the smuggling ring since he was still indebted to the smugglers. The spacer therefore killed both Jaryn Minoze and Oret Sturm, allowing Civius to finally escape. After that, Civius Bain decided to start a new life and become an accountant like his father.[1]

Star Wars Galaxies (post-NGE) — Quest: "Smuggle Civius Bain from the Smugglers" on Corellia
- ↑ The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
