Christopher Muncke (d. April 6, 2022)[1] was an American actor who played Captain Edmos Khurgee, the scanning crew leader and pilot, in Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope.
Muncke retired from acting in 1990, transitioning to a career as a schoolteacher. In an interview, he said that his only contact in the film industry after his retirement was "when I am fortunate enough to be invited to events where I can meet and chat with Fans whether they are part of what I like to call our Star Wars Fan Family."[2]
Muncke passed away on April 6, 2022 at the age of 79.[1]
