Description

The chow room was an area located next to the backstage area within the Grand Arena on the rocky planet Vespaara where Hunters and other personnel of the Arena went to eat. The chow room served plenty of foods, beverages, and other nutrition concerns. Caf and deep-fried nuna legs were among the many foods and beverages served in the chow room.[1]

History

In 9 ABY,[2] as public tensions heated up between the Mandalorian Hunter Aran Tal and fellow Hunter Imara Vex, the Arena News reported a brawl breaking out between the two in the chow room via eyewitnesses. Their fight involved use of their blasters, which drew in other Hunters Grozz and J-3DI. However, the individual who started the blaster fire was unclear due to multiple conflicting reports. The brawl caused damage to tables, chairs, and decorative plants before arena co-owner Daq Dragus stepped in to pacify the combatants. Fortunately, no one was hurt in the crossfire.[3]

Later, in the same year,[2] after the Zabrak Hunter Nox's victory against rival Hunter Rieve in combat,[4] the two were found chatting together in the chow room. When fellow Hunter Diago Velaar approached the table, his comment about Nox making a friend was met with disproportionate hostility, as she threw down his food tray and nearly crushed a mouse droid with her foot on her way out.[5]
