The Chief of the Imperial Navy,[1] also known as the head of naval operations,[2] was one of the Galactic Empire's Joint Chiefs in the Imperial Navy. Admiral Conan Antonio Motti held the position until his death at the Battle of Yavin.[1] Additionally, the Death Star I's Imperial Navy garrison was led by Chief Motti.[3]
