Chaka Mater Laka's musical recording "Batuu Boogie" first appeared in the themed land Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge,[3] which opened to guests at Disneyland on May 31, 2019.[10] The track is used in the Oga's Cantina bar[3] and included in the background audio for the restrooms near Droid Depot,[6] Black Spire Station,[7] the market,[8] and in the stand-by queue for the attraction Millennium Falcon: Smuggler's Run.[9] The in-universe artists behind the track were not revealed, however, until the release of Star Wars: Galaxy's Edge - Oga's Cantina: R-3X's Playlist #1,[1] a digital album released on September 6, 2019.[11] The song was written by Jason Mater, whose surname is used in the name of the in-universe artist. Matthew Wood and Ben Burtt were consulted for the alien languages used throughout the cantina playlist.[12]
