"Children, children! What have you done? It isn't time yet... ordinary beings should never, never be allowed to know of my existence."
―The Keeper[3]

"Caverns of Mystery!" was the seventh installment of The Keeper's World, published in Pizzazz 7 in April 1978. The entire story arc was reprinted in the UK in Star Wars Weekly 4750 in 197879, and in the 1999 limited-release comic Star Wars 0.

Plot summary

Imperial stormtroopers are closing in on Luke Skywalker, Leia Organa, C-3PO, and R2-D2 when they are saved by the elemental powers of Fire, Rain, Wind, and Earth. While the Imperials are distracted, the Rebels and the elemental children flee deeper into the Keeper's Temple, where they come face to face with The Keeper, a powerful mass of computerized technology. The Keeper chastises the children for allowing her presence to be discovered, and despite the protests of the children she strikes the Rebels with a powerful energy beam.

  2. "The Keeper's World" and "The Kingdom of Ice" depict the Rebel Alliance still occupying their base on Yavin 4 after the Battle of Yavin, meaning that the stories must fall between Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope and the Evacuation of Yavin as shown in "Doom Mission". The New Essential Chronology dates the Battle of Yavin and Evacuation of Yavin to 0 ABY and 0.5 ABY respectively.
