The Cauldron was the wreckage of the engine of the cruiser Kinro's Blessing that had crashed down in Lake Amari on the Outer Rim planet Akiva.[1] By 3 ABY,[2] the wreckage formed an island with a small ecosystem and a number of scavengers had searched the wreckage, including Namda Eaakee.[1]

During 3 ABY,[2] the scoundrel Kay Vess visited the island and bought a Moldour belt and a Actuating Diffuser Module from Namda Eaakee. Vess also took the materials required to apply a "Clear Detail Finish" to an EML-850 light freighter from a locked room near the wreckage.[1]

Behind the scenes

The Cauldron first appeared in the 2024 Massive Entertainment video game Star Wars Outlaws. The location contained a paint scheme that players could use to customize the appearance of the Trailblazer. The location also included the Actuating Diffuser Module which was a keypart to upgrade the player's heavy plasma pistol.[1]
