The title of this article is conjectural.

Although this article is based on canonical information, the actual name of this subject is pure conjecture.

According to Cassian Jeron Andor's Rebel Alliance file,[2] which was of questionable accuracy because of the haze of war and covert missions,[3] Andor's father was a human male who, during the Clone Wars, was killed at the Carida Academy during a protest against the increasing militarization of the Galactic Republic[1] while Andor was still young.[4] However, Andor had already been adopted by Maarva and Clem Andor[5] by that point.[6]

Behind the scenes

Cassian Jeron Andor's father was first mentioned in the 2016 book Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide.[1] The television series Star Wars: Andor later established that Clem Andor, who died on the planet Ferrix, was Cassian's adoptive father.[5] As this is different from his fate on Carida, established in Star Wars: Rogue One: The Ultimate Visual Guide, the two must be distinct individuals. Furthermore, the article "Cassian Andor 101: The Story of a Rebel" by Kelly Knox opens up the possibility that the story of Andor's father dying in a Clone Wars protest was false and simply something included in his file.[2] Additionally, the Star Wars Insider 212 article "From the Shadows: The Dangerous Life of a Rebel Agent" confirmed that records surrounding Andor's early life were poorly documented and of dubious accuracy.[3]
