Carus

Carus was a Mon Calamari from the planet Mon Cala. According to legend, Carus ignored the warnings of his friends and family to explore the Great Ungeness Trench. While exploring he awoke a squid-like creature at the bottom which killed him and shook the ground around his city for almost a month.^[1]
