In the new Star Wars canon, calarantum root was mentioned in the 2017 reference book Star Wars: The Visual Encyclopedia.[1] In the Star Wars Legends continuity, calarantrum root was a plant that first appeared in the 1978 The Star Wars Holiday Special.[2]
