Cal Handro used a Warlord Heavy Cruiser during the Galactic Civil War.
History
In 1 ABY,[2] the smuggler Cal Handro crash-landed on Naboo's moon of Rori while transporting a new kind of spice. He survived the crash but mysteriously vanished.[3]
After a long hunt that involved the Rebel Alliance, the Galactic Empire, the Black Sun, and independent spacers, Cal Handro was finally captured by Rebel agents.[4] Although the smuggler was transporting spice for the Rebellion when he crashed on Rori, he was considered as a traitor by the Alliance because he used to smuggle slaves for the Empire in the past.[5] However, a group of Imperial agents rescued the smuggler from a Rebel Safe House. Handro accepted to be exfiltrated from Rori in exchange for information.[4] Imperial Officer M'Kae provided a Warlord Heavy Cruiser to the smuggler who finally departed from Rori.[1]
While Cal Handro was about to leave the Naboo system to Kashyyyk, Rebel Officer Wolff Kalos discovered that the smuggler had escaped. A group of Rebel spacers rushed to the nearest spaceport and launched in space to intercept the Warlord Heavy Cruiser before it jumped to lightspeed. Piloting their own starfighters, the spacers attacked the light cruiser and its escort of Imperial starfighters. The warship was heavily armored and well armed but the Rebel forces eventually destroyed it. Cal Handro died in the explosion of the ship.[1]
Behind the scenes
Cal Handro's warship appeared in the 2003 video game Star Wars Galaxies, a massively multiplayer online roleplaying game developed by Sony Online Entertainment and published by LucasArts,[1] prior to its closure on December 15, 2011.[6]
Cal Handro's ship appeared in the fourth chapter of the "Secrets of the Syren" questline,[1] released with the "Publish 21," on August 4, 2005.[7] In that chapter, the player had to choose to side with the Empire or the Rebels. Cal Handro would always join the faction opposed to the player.[1][8] The "Secrets of the Syren" story arc was finally removed from the game with the release of the "Chapter 1," published on June 8, 2006, due to the major changes planned for Rori with the introduction of the Battle of Restuss.[9]

Star Wars Galaxies: Rage of the Wookiees — Quest: "For the Alliance!"
- ↑ 2.0 2.1 The opening crawl of Star Wars Galaxies: An Empire Divided dates the game to after the events of Star Wars: Episode IV A New Hope, and additionally, Serji-X Arrogantus, who died in Star Wars (1977) 10—the events of which The New Essential Chronology dates to 0 ABY—appears in the game. Therefore, at least a portion of Star Wars Galaxies must be set in that year. Furthermore, in the game Ruwan Tokai references the destruction of the Death Star as having occurred one year earlier, and Strongholds of Resistance also places the events of Galaxies' Chapter 9: "The Fury of Exar Kun" in 1 ABY. Lastly, while Chapter 11: "The Battle of Echo Base" features the Battle of Hoth—dated to 3 ABY by The New Essential Chronology—the developers have stated that the portrayal of that battle in the game is intentionally anachronistic. Therefore, the events of Star Wars Galaxies must span from 0 ABY to around 1 ABY.
