- "—You can't take Melody, Melody is special, please don't take the droid, don't take the droid out there—"
- ―Isiora to a crew member aboard the Home One
Ca Isiora was a rebel pilot in the Alliance to Restore the Republic during the Galactic Civil War. Isiora flew with Red Squadron during the Battle of Endor alongside her husband Telem.[1]
Biography
Isiora was a worker at the Green Ring of Nenyezh, the same place where her mother would die in a house fire incited by the empire; it was there she met Telem, the man who would eventually become her husband, while he was working as a performer. They dated, broke up and started dating again after evacuating their homes due to the empire burning their houses and taking control of Nenyezh. At some point they were separated during the scouring of the Hamnibus Glade.[1]
Stranded on Chadawa
During a visit to the planet Chadawa, Isiora and Telem became stranded at an unpopulated section of the planet. After days of arguing and hopelessness, Isiora would eventually find a still operational X-Wing, lacking only a way to fly it. She and Telem would construct an astromech droid out of crashed satellite parts, deciding to call it M3-LOD "Melody".[1]
Serving the Rebellion
Both Ca and Telem would end up becoming starfighter pilots for the rebellion, serving under Red Squadron, swapping which one Melody would accompany with each mission. They would serve until at least the Battle of Endor where Isiora would witness the destruction of the Second Death Star, becoming temporarily blinded as a result.[1]
Personality and traits
Isiora is seen to be an experienced pilot, being able to maneuver and land an X-Wing while being mostly blinded.[1]
She also expresses discontent at her current relationship, citing it as stale and predictable. She holds more affection to her droid, Melody, stating that it is the only reason she and Telem are still together.[1]
