Behind the scenes

CZ-D16 appeared in "The Duel: Payback", a non-canon short film released as part of the third volume of the Star Wars: Visions series. The animated short, produced by Kamikaze Douga and ANIMA, was released on Disney+ on October 29, 2025. Before the short's release, they were first mentioned in a Japanese StarWars.com article revealing the cast of the series. They were voiced by Tokuyoshi Kawashima in the original Japanese and by Gary Littman in the English dub.[2]
