Bulwark was a planet[2] located in the Bulwark system of Wild Space.[1] During the Galactic Civil War, Bulwark served as a Alliance to Restore the Republic safe world[2]—a designated planet where people connected with the Alliance could live free of oppression from the Galactic Empire.[3] It was also among the few sites to which the Rebel Alliance allocated one of their v-150 Planet Defender ion cannons.[2]
Behind the scenes
Bulwark was mentioned in the 1996 second edition of Galaxy Guide 3: The Empire Strikes Back, a sourcebook for West End Games' Star Wars: The Roleplaying Game. The second edition expanded on the sourcebook's original text with new and revised content by author Pablo Hidalgo.[2]
The StarWars.com Online Companion to the 2009 reference book The Essential Atlas placed the Bulwark system, and therefore the planet itself, in grid square U-7.[1]
