A buffer was a cleaning tool. MN-2E general maintenance droids were equipped with a buffer located at the end of one of their manipulator arms.[1] During the Cold War between the Galactic Republic and reconstituted Sith Empire, the Twi'lek Vette wanted to acquire a lekku buffer in the Corellian Sector on Nar Shaddaa.[2]
