Bruce French (July 4, 1945 - February 7, 2025) was a voice actor in the Star Wars radio drama. His role was unidentified.
French was perhaps best known for his recurring role as Father Lonigan in the long-running soap opera Passions, appearing in over four hundred episodes from 1999 to 2008. Indeed, French's career as portraying men of faith was so extensive that he would bring a priest's collar to auditions.[1]
His extensive career spanned multiple decades and over 150 credited appearances on television and in film. In addition to his on-screen work, French also had extensive theatrical credits.
He was one of the few actors to appear in both Star Wars and Star Trek, having played a number of different roles across multiple shows and one film in the latter franchise.
French passed away on February 7, 2025 due to complications from Alzheimer's.[1]
