Brooks was a Dyplotid mayor of a nerf herding town on an astronomical object during the High Republic Era.^[1]

He had become friends with the Jedi Padawan Bell Zettifar, who returned to Brooks' town with the Jedi Initiate Kai Brightstar on a mission given by Zia Zaldor Zanna to help the townfolk. Just as the Jedi arrived, Brooks was in the process of riling up the citizens to go fight the local Nerf rustlers, who had recently stolen the towns' Nerf herd. However, on Zettifar's request, the Jedi was allowed a day to handle the problem peacefully. Zettifar and Brightstar successfully released the herd during the night, but the thieves caught up with them as they were heading back to town. Brooks and the townfolk arrived at that time, and fighting between the two groups startles the nerf herd who ran towards a cliff. The rustlers calmed down the beasts, and explained their heritage to the mayor, being descended from townsfolk who once left the village and were promised a part of the herd, but never got it. The dispute was settled and peace ensured when Brooks decided to hand over the herd to the rustlers.^[1]

Mayor Brooks is a character that was developed for the second season of the Disney Junior and Disney+ animated television series Star Wars: Young Jedi Adventures. Mayor Brooks is voiced by David Shaughnessy.^[1] The character was designed by Chris Blackstock.^[2]
